Baby Eggs

The new Chickens have started to lay eggs. Because the chickens are so small so are their eggs. That is a normal size egg and a baby egg.

O Christmas Tree

This years tree is red and gold. It looks remarkably like the "berries and branches" pattern from work, I've been painting them like crazy.

So far it hasn't fallen over like last year but it does lean.

Christmas Miracle

Last March Newman the cat disappeared. He went outside one day and never came home, we all thought he was dead. We were all wrong!!! This morning at about 6:30am I was woken by excessive meowing in the hall. I was sure it was my cat Stuart, but it sounded like he was wounded. I began to call him into my room. At this point Samantha was awake and she said that the meowing didn't sound at all like my cat. Then a white cat jumped up on her bed ( Stuart is black) . Remember Newman was dead. So we were both thinking "How did a strange cat get in the house?" She got up and the mystery cat jumped down meowing at her feet as she made her way to the light switch. Before the light was on she said "This looks like Newman." Impossible, Newman is dead. She tuned the light on and there was Newman completely alive! Tada, HE LIVES!!!!
We have no idea where he had been, he is fatter and relatively clean so he must have found someone to live with. The current story is him being held against his will be an elderly woman.
And I was just saying yesterday the I wanted a kitten for Christmas.
( just in case you were wondering Dad let him in on his was to work)

Happy Late Thanksgiving

I feel like I spend half of my posts informing you that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. So in short, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. This is my thanksgiving post, so pretend that it is thanksgiving. Here we are getting ready to eat. The food was amazing. The potatoes were creamy. We were all very thankful.
We then went to my pap and grandma's house. We ate and then we ate, it seemed to be all we did. We had dumplings out of the big silver pot and ordered pizza. This is the first time ever that I can remember ordering pizza there. Mom says that we have had pizza there before. But I'm not completely convinced. I took a picture of it to prove its existence. We were all very thankful. Our usual tradition of watching Holiday Inn however didn't happen. We only have this oldie on a VHS and our player is broken. But we were all very thankful none the less.

Hunting

I went hunting for the first time yesterday. It was cold, and it rained a little. I didn't get a deer. However, I saw seven of them. And one of those seven was a buck. They were too far away to shot. It was sad. You can't sneak up on a deer when you are on a four wheeler. We tried, well Spencer tried but they ran away as soon as he got off the four wheeler. After that we didn't see them again. Do you like my hat(It's a pap hat)? I don't. Hunting garb makes me look fat.
There is always next time.

Latest Adventure

I have little blogging spurts where I blog almost every day and then fall out of it again. I try to keep up but I don't, the list of posts in my head keeps getting bigger. I'm back now.

Last weekend we went to Plattsburgh to visit Stephen.
Saturday it rained so we drove down by the lake. We ate alot. Sunday the weather was better. We took a ferry across the lake to Vermont. Vermont is awesome, it has alot of evergreens. We stopped and had a tour of the Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory.

We then drove down to a little town called Woodstock where we ate lunch at a creamery that claimed to have the best cheese toasted sandwiches. Woodstock has a village green. Its the cutest little town with all the old buildings. The sandwiches were indeed good.
On the way back from Vermont to Plattsburgh we saw the most beautiful sunset. We didn't see any moose.

Other than the moose, it was a great weekend. And just in case you were wondering, my birthday is in two days!!

Not What it Looks Like Anymore

I'm still savoring fall even though all the leaves are gone. Everything is bare and gray now.And it has already snowed. Last Thursday I drove home in a blizzard, which was not fun. At one point I found myself on the wrong side of the road because it was so blinding. Scary stuff. At least it didn't stick.
Oh well, I knew winter was inevitable. I guess I need to buy a coat.

Left in the Dark

This is one of the things that goes along with most of your friends being guys. Especially friend who can't drive.
The video is too dark to see but that's me sitting in the car. These are pictures looking down the road and the forest out the front windshield. Did I mention that it was raining too. They were scoping out new airsoft turf so lack of civilization is the main idea. Well, you can't get anymore out in the boonies than this place.

In The Name of Art

Well, the other day Mom, Samantha, and I want for a walk in the park. As we were walking we come upon a overgrown retaining wall. Who knew that a retaining wall could be so much fun. I told Samantha to climb up the wall so I could take her picture. Very surprisingly, she did. She didn't even complain about the mud or the little twig crown she was given. We spent about a half an hour laughing our heads off while she positioned herself into different poses. Thankfully we weren't seen by any other bike path occupant.I don't remember how we got the idea for this one. Probably something like "Samantha go jump in the lake." It would have look better without the bush. So picture it; mom and I standing across the road up on the bike path roaring with laughter as Samantha flings herself off a small incline towards the lake. We basically walked around the lake laughing every step of the way.

Almost Forgot

Happy November everyone!!!

Secondly

Letchworth Park was another place that I went this fall. Its one of my favorite places ever, I love it. (Upper falls.) It was also very cold this day. I wore a hat that, only when we got home, I realized made me look funny. (Middle falls. ) No one fell in.
(Lower falls.) Out of all the places/ lookouts we went to, Inspiration point was my favorite. I was very inspired.
It reminded my of unicorns.

Ta Da!!

My design found its way into a magazine of one of a kind pieces! Its so amazing. Every piece you see here was painted by myself. I am the only one in the business to have ever painted this pattern.I even remember painting the one wine glass, because its wrong ( but no one knows that but me).We also landed the back cover which is (to me) just as good as the front cover. It makes me very happy! That would be me.

Fall

I'm slowly getting/ finding the time to post about what I did this fall. So first:We rode the ski lift at Holiday Valley again this year. Its always a lot of fun. When we ready to get on the guy at the bottom asked "What do you want to do?" I said "Get on." Really, why else would I be there other than to get on. People are funny sometimes. The leafs were lovely as always. It was really cold, my fingers when numb and I couldn't feel my legs. No one fell off.

On Top of it All

This year I agree to paint pumpkins for a guy who sells pumpkins. I agreed to this before the lager paint lists came in. Mixing pumpkins and painting lists equals a very bad day. And about those lists, they are, for the most part, gone. There was a misunderstanding between Bette and the packing center, in short the lists have been shortened. I still have to paint large quantity of glass but it doesn't have to be done quite as fast. I can finally breath. And I have been able to enjoy my fall, which is awesome.Back to the pumpkins, well I guess there is not alot left to say about them, accept that none of them sold. Oh,well.

The Impossible

This passed Saturday around 12:30ish in the afternoon my boss calls. She starts the conversation with a " Please don't hate me." Already I know that this is bad. She goes on to say that I shouldn't panic and that she is doing enough panicing for the both of us, because there is a really big, tedious rush order needed by Monday. I get a paper and pen ready and she begins reading me the list, a box of martinis, 5 cake domes, 6 carafes.... By the time I'm finished writing my page of 10 1/2"x 8" college ruled paper is filled. Despite her warning, I'm panicing. Two days, shes only given me two days. Normally a list of this size would take me a weeks to complete. I hang up the phone after her farewell of " Go work your fingers to nubs." After proclaiming that I'm going to die, I head to my work table in utter dismay. This is impossible, I'm only one person with only two hands. I label the list appropriately, "The List of Death" and begin. Ignoring unnecessary things, like eating, and breathing, I work continually. Completing each piece with the utmost of care. I was glad that there was always someone in the house just in case if my eyes were to fall out. My mind spun with my painting wheel. I finished the list today at 4:00pm, well most of it, I ran out of green paint and was out of 11''bowls. But over all, it was done. She was going to pick the boxes up at 5:30. My eyes never fell out and my fingers are still intact...for now anyway. I have another list larger than the impossible one for October 5th and still another for October 13th. Pray for me. But the impossible is possible!!!

Pure Funny

Samantha got some new Calvin and Hobbes books for her birthday, and I found this one immensely funny when I read it the other day. Bill Watterson is a pure genius.

Once Again

Once again nothing has been happening in my life lately. What can I say I'm just not that interesting. I have been working my fingers to the bone at work painting my heart out. I am also working on a painting of a barn which isn't finished yet. It is coming along nicely (no pictures yet). I took this wonderful picture of my cat yesterday, isn't he the cutest thing ever.

Once again fall soccer has started. They have had two games so far and they have lost both of them. We are heading out tomorrow morning for the yearly tournament, wish them luck.
Once again I'm working on a tattoo. This one is by far the hardest one yet, I'm not that great with people. My friend got this picture off line and wanted me to fix the proportions. The original picture was an elf and I had to change him into a human. So far this is what I have:I'm afraid to do the head. I know that I just have to do it and it will be fine but starting is the hard part.

Once again I have to add my chickens. They are so big now. We ended up with three roosters and six hens. Mom want out the coop the other night and found them sleeping together on the roost with one of the babies on the momma's back. It was so very funny. Once again here is something naturey. We found a really big fairy ring in the front yard. It was hard to see in the picture so I added a red line on the inside of the mushrooms. We're hoping the mushrooms get bigger so its more pronounced.
Once again I'll be back... *Evil laugh*
