What Next? It Can't Get Any Worse!

The yearbook is done!!!!!! The pain it caused me, the headaches it caused me, they are all gone. I washed my hands of its madness. This yearbook was evil, nothing seemed to go right...ever. First, no one would give me pictures, I asked but to no avail. Almost the entire book is made up of the pictures I took. And then there are the family pages, no one would give me them. I set a deadline then I set a new deadline, people ignored them. Not days but weeks, months after the third deadline I was still waiting. I couldn't just put it together and print it because the families make up more than 50% of the book. It would have been stupid. I told them all, it was in the new letter, they knew. I was only able to get about 50% of the families to even make a page. They had plenty of time. In previous years people would turn in their pages as a hard copy( picture glued to a piece of paper). It was easy then, I just had to put them in the order I wanted a that was it. This year however, I got them in every evil way, email, disk, hard copy. Every single disk was in a different format, I spent half my life trying to get them in a format I could use. Printing them all out was a nightmare. I finally got everything in the right order ready to go to the printer. I put some of the pages on a disk to see if she could print them that was, she couldn't. I had to print them all out too. Took in to the printers, and she said it would be done tomorrow. When we went to get it, it was wrong. I wanted to cry. She had gotten the pages in the wrong order. We were able saved several pages but she had to do it again. When we want to get it the seconded time, it was WRONG. We gave up and said that this is how its going to be wrong or not. As we are delivering them we realized that we were two books short. They were for the people that didn't send in their order forms but had said that they wanted one, we add how many books we needed by the amount of order forms we had. It made me so mad. Thankfully I'm not doing the yearbook next year. Or the year after that. I done with it.

Bald Eagle

I saw him flying over a lake the other day while looking for algae. The poor thing was being harass by a unfriendly crow.
However, I believe that if the eagle was truly bothered the crow would no longer be alive.

Baby Robins

We had a Robin build a nest in our barn. The parents would come in to feed the babies even when you were there. They would sit several feet away from you and call to their babies to stay quite. It was very interesting. I was in the barn the other day visiting my chickens and the mother flew in, sat on a bike tire, and watched me intently. I talk to her and she never moved. The babies are gone now. The one did have some trouble flying and smash into several things, including the house. He must have gotten the hang of it though because I have not seen him.

The Common Quest for Algae

We have been visiting ponds lately. Now we have two salamanders and an unknown amount of tadpoles in a tank on our counter. And like all animals, they must eat. Tadpoles eat algae. We have visited so many ponds and have found very little algae at any of them. The algae that we do manage to locate and put in our tank dies. Now the tadpole are starting to die too.Well anyway, what does this have to do with a picture of a cow? Absolutely nothing, he was just so cute and I have no story to go along with him. Back to algae, you would think that with 75% of the earths oxygen coming from algae (one thing I will never forget from biology) there would be more of it, and we would be able to find some.(Tadpoles swimming in a small puddle)
Oh no, finding algae is harder than it sounds.
I was trying to make this post interesting, I think I failed.

My 200th Post!

I very proud of myself for reaching such a high post number. When I started I didn't know how much I was going to enjoy doing this, which is very much. I wanted this post to be really amazing so it required some thinking. I finally settled on some picture I took of geese landing on a beaver pond. If this isn't amazing I don't know what is.

8 GB of Happiness

Instead of emptying the memory cards I have, I just buy new ones. It saves me so much stress that I don't need. So today I bought an 8 GB card that, with the settings I have on my camera, can hold 2 thousand pix. Its wonderful! At the store there was a 16 GB that I was very tempted to purchase but I couldn't see myself spending $50 on something like that, so I held back. 8 GB will be fine for now.
Here is the first pic I took on the way home.

He Does Exist

This is one of those things that you never expect to find, but yet there it is.
This tag was attached to a old suitcase in the back room of a church. Mom and I were thought to be slightly odd when we both started freaking out about a old tag and asked if we could have it. Its one of those names that you only use in spy talk, "you will find a man on the west dock by the name of Snodgrass, he has what you are looking for."

This is just not an everyday sighting or just a name, Its Mr. Snodgrass!!

Weakness

I bought paper the other day. I didn't really need it and I don't know what I'm going to do with it but isn't it gorgeous. And it was on sale! I love craft stores.
I also got a cute little sign for my garden the says " Love makes a garden grow". As soon as I have flowers, there will be pictures. I put in some forget-me-nots and tried to grow daisies but something dug them up and they died. I have seeds that I need to plant and then it should be good to go.

Arts Night

Our homeschool group does a yearly talent show where every one gets together and does a little something or other. This year I played Greensleeves on piano and displayed some of my art. I think that I played poorly; if you ever heard the real song you would see what I mean. I can hear every mistake that I made, it makes me mad. The drama class did a play about Troy and Sparta, I can't think of the name but it was really funny and they did a really good job. Spencer and Samantha each did something I'll post their videos later.

I hope that this video comes through alright. The lighting is bad.

Happy First of May

I have things to post about but I have no time to do it in. Good things are coming.
