Going Once...Going Twice...

SOLD!!! I sold paintings, four of them!
A friend of ours saw some of my work and asked me if I would do flower paintings for her. She wanted a set of four and she gave me the pictures of the flowers that she wanted. I finally finished them.
I added their scientific names: ( top to bottom) Trillium ovatum, Vinca minor, Davcus carota, and Cichorium intybus. They are done in acrylics.

Full Up to Here

I filled my 8GB memory card, 2357 pictures. I don't know what to do with myself now. I need to clear some space so I can take more.

Wall of Happiness

I had a random urge, creativity maybe, boredom perhaps. Call it what you will, I built a wall today. I rather wonderful wall if I may say so. I am very proud of my wall.
After so many years of having a pile of rocks laying outside the front door, I decided to fix them. I did have a little help from mom and Samantha for moving some of the bigger rocks but other than that it was all me. All I need now is some soil and plants. I plan to pull all that funky green stuff out. This spot get no sun so I have to be careful in my plant decisions, I'm thinking that some pansies would look nice there for a dash of color.

Success

My hen accepted the new peeps with no problem. We snuck them in under the cover of night, so when she woke up in the morning there they were. They love her as their mother. She showed them how to eat this afternoon, they liked that. The other chickens are in the new coop now so the peeps have the old one to themselves. I could use some help with names for the new hens ( I have Fin, Reaper, Pepper, D.A., and Shorty.) and with the chicks ( I have Sophie.).

My old hen and rooster are kind of getting along with the new hens. The two roosters still have some issues, but they are working them out. Squirt is three times the size of Shorty so its obvious who is going to come out on top. Gwen is doing fine, in a few more days everything will be all smoothed out.

Hatched

21 days ago I put some eggs in my incubator, this morning they started to hatch.
So far there are three chicks. The one I took pictures of was born at 2:15 this afternoon. I have three more eggs in the incubator, hopefully they will all hatch. Its very hard to get good pictures through the little window on top and we can't open it until the chickies have dried or they will get too cold. I'll have better pictures when they are ready to be held. We are planing to put the chicks out with one of my hens who has gone broody, she should be able to take care of them. The new coop is almost done, just have to fix the water problem and we're all set.

BEHOLD the Fridge

The other day Spencer and I were on the way home from a friends birthday party. Because of where we live the only way to get home is by way of back roads. So we are in the middle of nowhere at 12 o'clock at night. We turned a corner and BEHOLD a fridge!!It was too good of an opportunity to pass up, so we turned around to get pictures. Note the sign in the background, it reads "Children at play".

Killing Time

I took Spencer and Samantha to soccer tonight and had to wait there till it was over. So I had two hours to sit and draw. These ones are my favorite, I call them "sitting boys".
