Grad Party

We went to Eli's grad party this afternoon, the weather was hot, sticky, and hot! Glad it was at the pool even though I didn't swim. Eli's band played, they sounded really good. They played the peaches song ( "going to the country gonna eat a lot of peaches"). From left Eli, James, Job, and Stephen. They sounded much better then the last time I heard them play, James sings really good, so does Stephen. Stephen played and sang a song that he wrote, it was amazing!

The Lost Boys

I have the answer to my previous question about the lost boys from Peter Pan. There are only six not including Peter. There is Nibs, Twin( there are really two twins but Peter didn't know what twins were so they were only ever called twin), Slightly, Tootles, and Curly.

Wet Paint

Spencer's room has been painted! The floor is still drying a little but you can walk on it with socks. When Mom finished painting it ( the floor) she realized that she had left the closet light on. She started in the closet and worked her way out, so there was no way for us to turn the light off. So it stayed of for several days. Lol!
Spencer is planing to move back in on Thursday.

A Day to the Birds

We went bird banding with Tom this morning. We got there around nine, nine thirty, (which is kinda late) but the birds were still there.
Us and some of the other people that were there, some had already left.

A GoldfinchChestnut Sided Warbler.

While we were there he caught a good many birds, several Catbirds, a baby Junco, a chickadee, a Chestnut Sided Warbler, Goldfinch, a yellow bird that I cant remember the name of, and more. Me and Samantha or according to my mother Samantha and I both got to release a bird, I got a Catbird and she got the Goldfinch. When I let the Catbird go it sat on my hand for a short time and then flew away by way of the ground, it kinda dive bombed before it took off. A different Catbird later on did the same thing but he landed in the ditch by the road, smart guys. When the Chestnut Sided Warbler was set free Tom put him upside down on a girls head, he stay there until he was removed by Tom. Apparently this is an unnatural position for them and the bird still believed it was being held.

We left when at the end when the nets were taken down or rolled up, whichever. Around noon. It was fun and we always loves to see the cute birds.

JJ

The first kitten to go, "JJ", leaves Thursday.

Field Trip

We went on a field trip to Mumford to the Genesee country museum, a very large town of old building that they moved to one place from all over. We don't really know how they moved them all there, I'd like to think helicopters had something to do with it. We spent all day their visiting all 48 houses and shops, talking to the people dressed in the clothing of the time. We had a lot of fun, and both Spencer and Samantha slept on the way home.
Good day.

House Work

The house is coming along nicely, The roof is completely done and so is Spencer's room, it just needs painted. Which is what Spencer and mom have been doing lately. So far so good. Mr. Schapp has started doing the siding of the house and it looks really good. He has been here so long that he said he would just add a room on for him and his wife and they would move in. Almost done. The porch by the driveway has had the roof fixed so you can no longer see the old roof underneath.
All that is left now is the painting, the house is going to be green. Spencer's room is getting green and gray stripes and the floor is not done. Almost there, just a little more, a chicken coop, a art studio, a barn, and a green house....Keep dreaming we know.

Question

What are the names of the lost boys from peter pan? Their are seven and I don't seem to know them.

Dinos

Dinosaurs from the museum.

Road Trip

We went on a very big and long road trip to Kentucky to visit the Creation Museum. We went with a bunch of homeschoolers and my cousin Alex, who we picked up in Mars. We started by driving to Mars and stay a night at my aunt and uncle's house before continuing on. Our next stop was Lehman's an Amish store were we stay for three hours.Remember no smiling in old pictures.
Lunch in jail. You don't want to know what they're in for.
Mom got her dishes that she has been wanting for years, she went with green instead of blue. We continued to drive for forever and then we finally arrived at the hotel we were staying at. The first thing we did was hit the pool. The next morning we set out for the museum. All that day was spent there. It was fun.
Don't worry the dino is not real, but most of their models and animaltronics look really life like, they had a raptor that moved, growled and hissed, very scary.

Alex on a triceratops, Spencer about to be eaten by a raptor, and mom in a room with way to many movies. We saw many movies, displays and a little chunk of the ark that was really big. We also walked around in their gardens, it was 90 degrees out side so we had ice-cream afterwards. Alex, Spencer, and Samantha on a floating bridge.

Good day!

Bat!!

We had a bat in our house last night. We were in the living room watching a movie and it decided to grace us with its presence. I hate bats more than I hate spiders and my hatred for them is oh so strong. Needless to say, I fled the room followed closely by Samantha who had started screaming. We stopped in the kitchen, thinking we were safe out there. Oh no, not at all, it came with us and we were forced to go outside. So there we were outside (where there were probably more bats ), Samantha had a blanket wrapped around her and I had a pillow on my head, just in case. While we hid outside Spencer and Mom were inside trying to catch the little beast, who had now reentered the living room. Spencer clad in a sweater, work gloves, a winter hat, and carrying a broom. Mom armed with a butterfly net. From out side we heard Spencer's screams and a chorus of "Where did it go...there it is....get it....don't drop your net....run!!" They finally got it and brought it outside (I went inside) It was released and is now gone.

Give Me a Fan

The heat is killing me! I know that when it was cold I wanted it to be warmer, I'm such a whiner. Its not the heat itself but how fast the heat appeared, one minute its cold the next its hot. Really hot, too hot. I can't take it anymore, I need a FAN!!

Catt. county

Today on the way to the vets with three kittens we saw tractors. Many tractors. Nine to be exact, all in the same intersection. Big hunkin, could run over us and not even notice tractors. I felt out of place, and small. And to add to it, there was a horse and buggy in among them. Are the Amish stalking me? ( i will never marry any of them and even if i do it would get them shunned) Only in Cattaraugus County really!

Side note: Don't walk in the grass next to a vets office, it amazing that the grass is still green.

Flat

Our tire on our van is flat. They pumped some air in so mom could get Spencer up to work for the little old lady on the hill. It wont make it anywhere else. But never fear the construction workers are here (yes, still). and Derrick happens to be a mechanic, no problem. He stopped working and took the van to get it fixed for us, thank you so much. We are now just hoping that he comes back. ( kidding!)
