Balls of Fury

We lost the tournament. Badly, sadly. I bowled really poorly. I got 53 which is the lowest score I have gotten in a really long time. Everyone bowled worse than they usually do, it was the pressure of knowing you were in a tournament. But yeah to Patrick (he was on my team) who bowled a 117 and got the most strikes (3) over everyone. The highest score was a 142 by Mrs. Wild who also get the most spares (5). The lowest was a 13 by Gabe who also won gutter king. Gutter queen goes to Jacqueline.

Just Another Day at the Office

Boring...Again

Nothing is happening. I've been trying to think of something interesting to post about but I got nothing. Its snowed here today, just when I thought it was all going to melt. I ate chicken and gravy for supper, played some Mario cart, drank some milk....Ok, I'm done now.

Technology is Only as Good as its Batteries

I ran out of batteries today in almost every technological thing I own. It was so sad, it made me want to cry. My phone died in mid text. My camera was dead even before I left home and I didn't know that. On the day you need them most, naturally they are gone.

We went for a lovely Sunday drive around Allegany state park , it was so beautiful there today. And all I had was my mother's cell phone to get pics with and it was dying too. So sad. We drove around the lake. Saw some ice fishers (they would have made a great pic, figures silhouetted against the snow) Anyhow, on the way home we were detained by a helicopter sitting in the road. Sorry about the picture being fuzzy, I added an arrow. There had been an accident somewhere and there were air lifting someone out. Apparently the only place for them to land was on the road. We waited for about twenty- thirty minutes before they took off.

Our guess is a snowmobile accident.
My camera was able to get one good picture (you have to take out the battery, and then put it back in really quickly and take the pic). I will never let the batteries die again...ever!

Be The Ball

Our bowling tournament was canceled today because of the weather. I don't know when it will be rescheduled, but now I have more time to correct my horrendous right curve. Just in case you wanted to know, my average score is probably in the 70s, I am not a very good bowler. However, I have been in the high 80s for the past few weeks. And I have been trying desperately to break a hundred. Even the guys at the alley are cheering for me. (The little guy in the picture is even better than me, he bowled a game of a 111 , and he is six years old.)

Its Melting...Its Melting!!

Today was foggy and wet. I love fog, it makes everything looks magical and creepy. The water droplets hung on the trees perfectly, like little lights. Snow is melting like crazy and the ice is falling off the roof in gigantic chunks. A bunch fell from our higher roof and hit the lower roof, making the mirror in my parent's room fall off the wall. It didn't break. The ground if mucky and nasty and the snow is disgusting but everything else is beautiful.Anyway, tomorrow is our home school bowling tournament, yes I am an avid bowler. I am team captain of the "Balls of Fury". There are nine teams of six and we are playing for a pizza. It will be mine!! (evil laugh)

I am so very sorry that I have not posted much lately. I been busy with work and a was sick on Saturday and Sunday ( the throwing up kind of sick) . Nothing else has happened here. My life is so boring. Oh, I started a sign language class today, I can sign "My name is Sarah". Well, the snow has started to melt and now the mud is here. I hate mud worse than snow. I'm full of complaints. Anyhow, Ill post something better and more interesting later when something better and more interesting happens.

Groundhog day

We always read the book 'William's Shadow', I simply love it (even thou it is a children's book). We have read this book as long as I can remember.

We also watch the movie 'Groundhog Day' Its really rather funny, and if you haven't seen it you should.
This year the groundhog saw his shadow so six more weeks of winter and its already snowing again. I smelled spring the other day, it warmed up a little bit ( in the low 40s) and it smelled so good. I'm ready for winter to be over. But I will try to think positively about it and maybe the groundhog didn't see his shadow on groundhog day and the whole country just overslept. Maybe I should tell them...
