Sometimes my creativity gets the best of me.
Also, last night I had the wonderful idea to take a large glass bowl and plant grass seed in it. I might even add a flower.

Hostas and Flowers
Between my busy life and the five other people in my family that think they should be on the computer for hours at a time, I have managed to get to the hosta post. I have to say though that it was much better weeks ago. But I forgot that. Anyway, here it is slightly worse than it would have been.
It started with a wall, as most of you know...I removed funky green stuff which is really called Pachysandra. Everyone I know who has had dealings with this plant say its evil. Its evasive and hard to pull out. And I have to say that its just down right ugly.
We have been going to Wednesdays in the arboretum, which are random classes/get togethers in a arboretum. They had a night where they talked about hostas. Picture me sitting around a table with a handful of older ladies talking about hosta. Kinda funny isn't it. Moving on... The man teaching asks if anyone there was a collector. None of us had heard of being a collector of hosta. The one lady had three plants but she didn't know if that made her a collector. The man informed us that he had over 150 different varieties of hostas planted on his property. And to top that he know ever variety just by looking at the leaf of the plant. After the class I was inspired and went and bought two hostas of my own, a patriot and a silver bay.
I also planted a white bleeding heart, a black eyed susan, and a pink astilbe. Everything is a shade loving plant except of the black eyed susan, I'm not sure how its going to do there. It was a throw away plant I got for a dollar.

Everything else should grow fine, I planted in a loamy soil. Tada!!

Ok So...
...this isn't the post that I said I was going to post in the last post. That has to do with hosta and flowers. It's harbored in my mind and most likely will be the next post. This one has to do with a bar in E-ville.
Yes, I went to a bar. Don't worry, I didn't drink anything, and I had my mother with me, which pretty much cancels out that we were even in a bar to begin with. It started back in Great valley, " Should we go in?..No lets not. But we drive right past it. We should stop. But I said I wouldn't go listen if he was playing in bars." These were the words of my mother trying to decide if we should stop and hear Stephen's band playing at the Double Diamond. It was the last time they played before all going back to school. We stopped. We entered. " Make way, shes here for a drink, and I don't blame her." I was not there for a drink and I shook my head to indicate no as a went the opposite direction. ( Stephen is the dark figure on the right) Around the third song a man extremely drunk started dancing or should I say flailing. More like aerobics gone bad. He continued for the whole song. Then he straitened up walked away and yelled " I love that tune!" I laughed really hard. The band sounded fabulous and very loud, it was a small room. We could only stay for about a half an hour because we were on the way to pick Spencer up. On the way out this guy stops me and says " You look really familiar, are you from Wales ( he meant in NY) ?" The music was too loud for me to hear him clearly but I got, my dad drives the bus, something about his niece, and a girl that looks just like me. He finished with "Sorry, you just looked so familiar." Honestly, if he wanted to talk to me he should have come up with something a little more original. I still can't get over it, "Are you from Wales?". I think I'll stay out of bars for awhile.

Kingdom Bound !!!
Last night I went to Kingdom Bound for the first time. It was AMAZING!!! It started out with Remedy Drive. We just caught the last song. I have never heard these guys before, they were...different. Then Sanctus real, I really enjoyed them. We had a really good spot slightly left of the stage, but right there. Next was Red, which was who we came to see. I love this band!! I don't think that they have a song that I don't like, that doesn't happen often. About half way though the photographer that had been walking around, almost right on stage but not quiet, asked if she could see my camera. She took it up to the stage a started to take pictures of the band. It was the coolest thing ever!! After I handed her my camera the security guy started messing with me, he was like " Who was that lady you just handed your camera to, I've never seen her before."
Me: " what...huh...oh...wait..." I almost fainted. Luckily he was a bad lair and he started laughing. Me: (sigh of relief )" don't even. " It was all good.We stayed after for autographs and a picture, which was amazing!! ( I might photo shop my red shirt out, its a little over powering) Two of the band members weren't in the picture, I don't know where the drummer went but the one guy's wife just had a baby. It was still amazing!! A bought their new CD that I had the guys sign it (which I am listening to right now) and a T-shirt.

Just Can't Get Enough of These Chickens

Bigger and Bigger
The chickies are big enough to go outside, they love the grass. We rigged up a cage for them and the mother chicken. It amazing how fast they grow, their wings are big enough so they can fly up to the mothers back. Its so cute how they ride around on her. We had two more hatch (not like we don't have enough already), there is Penelope and Savanna. This adds to the count of 8 chicks, 8 hens, and a rooster.
