I Can't Believe I Missed It
April 23 was William Shakespeare's Birthday! He was baptised on 26 April 1564. His actual birth date is unknown, but is traditionally celebrated on 23 April. Which is kind of sad because that is also the day he died (23 April 1616). Happy Birthday anyway.

I Haven't Fallen off the Face of the Earth
But I was on TV this week! Our home-school group went to visit the channel 4 news station. Technically I have graduated and I don't have to involve myself in such school related endeavors. However, this field trip intrigued me and so I went. We meet some news people, I have a new found respect of these people. It is not easy to speak non stop at quickening speeds and sometimes off the tops of their heads. Sitting in on the 12 o'clock news report was enjoyable. I never realized how small the news room actually is, everything is right there. At the end of the broad cast they announced that we were there and showed us on camera holding up our four fingers ( for the 4 in channel 4). It takes a lot to format the news. I am very enlightened. Isn't this camera the most wonderful picture you've ever seen. All their cameras are remote activated and they are all controlled by one man sitting at a computer. The green screen was alot of fun too. :^)

Beautifully Impulsive
My friend who has been living down in Virginia came up this week for several days. For us it is kind of a tradition that every time we see each other we need to bake something. So we made an apple pie. It was a success, unlike some of our previous culinary endeavors (the fortune cookie incident). The pie tasted wonderful! I also went shopping this week and bought a pair of bright yellow pants.

Tattoo Artist for Hire
I'm designing a tattoo again. This one is for my friend David who is in the Marine core, hence the U.S.M.C . He wanted an super detailed M-16 chained to a cross with wings (his drawing is above). So far I have the gun, part of the chain, and the crosses outline ( my drawing is below). I don't have the wings yet. Why does everybody always want wings? Wings are hard. I found a picture of a M-16 on line to help with the detail, but the whole thing is free hand (no cheating). The wood of the cross has to be old and beaten, this is going to be a challenge.
Marshal got his tattoo done on his birthday (the other one I help design). He got it done on his chest. I heard that its big and it hurt alot. I still can't figure out why people do this to themselves. But if they continue to ask for help there is a 95% chance that I'll say yes.

Another Day at the Park
We had a wonderful few sunny days (a few days ago, its raining now) so we went to the park. This was our first walk of the year. However, it wasn't "the day" quite yet. "The day" is when you have a picnic and spend all day in the park. Its when everything smells like spring and looks like spring. Its hard to explain "the day" but it is fun. We saw a pair of swans and a pair of ducks. I am hoping that they stay so I can see little swanlings and ducklings swimming around.
Also, we saw a small bird with a bad feather day but he was singing none the less.
I love the park!
