Today we got our tree. We did it a little different this year and we cut our own. The family hiked up into the tree lot and I dutifully waited in the car. (with a giant goat walking around and the rain, I think I was the smart one) 
It was a painless adventure and the tree went up without a hitch. The plan is to decorate with edible ornaments. So when Christmas is over, instead of having to pack things away we can just eat it.

The lights can go on tomorrow, and then the rest of the house will fallow with Christmas joy. Its going to be good! (blogger is making me mad right now; every time I move something it deletes something else)
