I really need a vacation!

My Ducky Darling

 My darling Ping was horribly killed by a raccoon. It was awful. I wont go into the details, but it was bad. I don't think I will ever be a very good farmer if every time I lose an animal I spend the day crying.  Her ducky personality will be missed.

Her attacker was captured, and even though he is cute (ok, who an I kidding, this thing is evil) , this evil creature had to go. We were so afraid that he would come back for Pong that we barricaded his pen with 40 pound bags of dirt. It work and he was unharmed. The coon was caught the first night we set the trap. We are continuing to set the trap to make sure there isn't another one. Hopefully there will be no more dead animals that I will cry about.

What has been eating your bird food?

 A Deer perhaps. On the subject of deer, we have spotted a doe and her twin fawns. They haven't come very far into the yard yet, but when they find out about the bird food I hope they come closer.

 Maybe a Baltimore Oriel. We have seen both male and female for the first time since we moved here...eleven years ago.

 Or if you are lucky, this rare creature. The Red Headed Boy.

 Blue Jays are common to the feeders this year. And every other year before and most likely every year after this.

 And the ever peasant Squirrel. See how he makes good time consuming the seeds in the squirrel proof feeder.

Then there is moms favorite. The Rose Breasted Grosbeak. The picture is of a female, only the males have the rose breast.
We have seen more species like and not limited to, goldfinches, tufted tit mouse, junco, woodpeckers, chipmunks, sparrows...etc.

FINALLY!

For the last several weeks I have not been able to blog. Every time I would go to post, the screen would go completely white and nothing would happen. I have been trying everyday for forever. It seems to be fixed now so I will be posting again! Hopefully it will stay this way because I have lots to say.

New Hair

I have been putting off getting my hair cut for several months. Not that I dont like it, it is just that I am never sure what I want it to look like. Bangs are somthing I have not done since I was five. I thought about it for a good long time and yesterday I finally got my butt to the hairdresser. I like it. But it will take some time to agust, everytime I move it feels like something is crawling on my face.

The Pants

Blogger is different. I think I like it. Anyway, I did something creative yesterday. And I must say my pants are better for it. I don't know if anyone is like me when is comes to getting rid of old cloths, I make a pile and then proceed to look at the pile for several days. Then I take half the stuff back. I tend to run my cloths into the ground. But I just love this pair of pants and cant bring myself to throw them out. So instead of mustering my will-power to clear the space in my drawer, I drew on them. Now, I love them even more!  

 Looks like these pants will be with me a bit longer.

Don't Blink!..They Might Get Away!

The package came! I love ordering things online because then I get mail. I love mail! And underneath the puff plastic things full of air...NINJAS!

They were just so good I couldn't resist. So I made ninja cookies. Pink, orange, green, red, black, white, and yellow. And as any good ninja, they disappeared. Cookie goodness devoured by their foe. I may have had a little too much fun photographing them.
