Hunting

I went hunting for the first time yesterday. It was cold, and it rained a little. I didn't get a deer. However, I saw seven of them. And one of those seven was a buck. They were too far away to shot. It was sad. You can't sneak up on a deer when you are on a four wheeler. We tried, well Spencer tried but they ran away as soon as he got off the four wheeler. After that we didn't see them again. Do you like my hat(It's a pap hat)? I don't. Hunting garb makes me look fat.
There is always next time.

Latest Adventure

I have little blogging spurts where I blog almost every day and then fall out of it again. I try to keep up but I don't, the list of posts in my head keeps getting bigger. I'm back now.

Last weekend we went to Plattsburgh to visit Stephen.
Saturday it rained so we drove down by the lake. We ate alot. Sunday the weather was better. We took a ferry across the lake to Vermont. Vermont is awesome, it has alot of evergreens. We stopped and had a tour of the Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory.

We then drove down to a little town called Woodstock where we ate lunch at a creamery that claimed to have the best cheese toasted sandwiches. Woodstock has a village green. Its the cutest little town with all the old buildings. The sandwiches were indeed good.
On the way back from Vermont to Plattsburgh we saw the most beautiful sunset. We didn't see any moose.

Other than the moose, it was a great weekend. And just in case you were wondering, my birthday is in two days!!

Not What it Looks Like Anymore

I'm still savoring fall even though all the leaves are gone. Everything is bare and gray now.And it has already snowed. Last Thursday I drove home in a blizzard, which was not fun. At one point I found myself on the wrong side of the road because it was so blinding. Scary stuff. At least it didn't stick.
Oh well, I knew winter was inevitable. I guess I need to buy a coat.

Left in the Dark

This is one of the things that goes along with most of your friends being guys. Especially friend who can't drive.
The video is too dark to see but that's me sitting in the car. These are pictures looking down the road and the forest out the front windshield. Did I mention that it was raining too. They were scoping out new airsoft turf so lack of civilization is the main idea. Well, you can't get anymore out in the boonies than this place.

In The Name of Art

Well, the other day Mom, Samantha, and I want for a walk in the park. As we were walking we come upon a overgrown retaining wall. Who knew that a retaining wall could be so much fun. I told Samantha to climb up the wall so I could take her picture. Very surprisingly, she did. She didn't even complain about the mud or the little twig crown she was given. We spent about a half an hour laughing our heads off while she positioned herself into different poses. Thankfully we weren't seen by any other bike path occupant.I don't remember how we got the idea for this one. Probably something like "Samantha go jump in the lake." It would have look better without the bush. So picture it; mom and I standing across the road up on the bike path roaring with laughter as Samantha flings herself off a small incline towards the lake. We basically walked around the lake laughing every step of the way.

Almost Forgot

Happy November everyone!!!

Secondly

Letchworth Park was another place that I went this fall. Its one of my favorite places ever, I love it. (Upper falls.) It was also very cold this day. I wore a hat that, only when we got home, I realized made me look funny. (Middle falls. ) No one fell in.
(Lower falls.) Out of all the places/ lookouts we went to, Inspiration point was my favorite. I was very inspired.
It reminded my of unicorns.
