Eating Cats

The dog is in trouble. The dog catcher didn't catch her but she left a note. Apparently our old lazy dog went off our property and got into trouble with the people that live two doors down from us. Mom called for details and they said that our dog was trying to eat their cat. Rubbish. Our dog may have run after their cat but eat it... never! She wouldn't even know how to eat a cat, let alone catch one. She only runs after them because they run faster. Now we must go to court and pay a fine of 20 some bucks. Eat their cat, really!

The Cat Came Back

Newman came back, he was missing. Job ( the painter) said that he had not seen him for several days before we got back, and we hadn't seen him in several days after we got back. So he had been gone for about a week. We thought he was dead. But yesterday there he was at the door meowing to be let back in. He is a good deal skinnier and very love deprived. we have not idea were he was but he wasn't dirty so he wasn't up on the hill. he is back now so it really doesn't mater.

Rain Rain Go Away And Take The Painters With You!

Vacation is definitely over. It has poured rain everyday which is just sad and depressing. The painters are still painting, I will be so glad when there are no guys outside my house in the morning. And they always seem to be working right outside the window to where ever I happen to be sleeping. It is a horrible thing to wake up to two ladders on ether side of your window. I even slept on the couch one night (my chair lift was being stupid) and in the morning there they were again. Yesterday it rain in the afternoon/ evening and they were speed painting, grab a ladder and run. It was funny seeing them ladder and all running around the house.

More Pictures

The house we stayed in. Setting up for a family picture in our yellow biking shirts.
Baby birds on the side of the house, by the end of the week they were gone.
Bubbles in the rain, the house is reflected in them.

Painted

When we got back the house looked like this...
Wow! It isn't finished yet but sweet!

My Vacation

I'm back. Vacation was great, having 30 some people in one house went surprisingly well. We did our family bike ride while we were there, I think it was 25 miles long. I did not make the whole 25, I had to sag. The weather was wonderful the whole week, it only rained once. The day of the bike ride the temp reached 101, (to hot for me). Since we have been back it has rain everyday, very sad. Anyhow, I went kayaking, which was so much fun !We spent a lot of time on the dock, you could see the sun set perfectly there.

And somehow they got me to clean crab legs. I did taste it again and it reminded me why i don't like crab. Some people in my family seemed to really like it. The little crab on the end is alive, we caught it in the crab trap that was on the dock. We flew kites one day, water balloons and blow bubbles with the bubble wands. I saw a jelly fish!!
Here are some more pics that to me just scream vacation.
Reading in the shade, hard core kayaking, last fish of the trip and me on the dock. I loved my vacation!

Check it Out

I have a thing with music videos in German. I tried to put another one on but it failed but it is ( to me) worth checking out. On YouTube. Its called "Mit dir Chilln" by Revolverheld. It means "With you chilling" .

Busted

There is this guy that lives in town and he worked at his factory on the hill making cabinets, we all called him the factory man. We would see him in the window every once and a while, but never really out side, so we never really know him. We all said the he sold guns and drugs to the terrorists ( jokingly, of course). His factory was really ratty, it was a old brick building with most of the windows covered in plywood. His phone number was spray painted on the wall. We had friends that lived across the street from him and we were there a lot. So we would see people coming and going, we always said that he put his guns in the cabinets and they shipped them for him ( again, jokingly) Well, the factory man was busted for drugs two days ago. They would have never know but his power bill was really high so they started to wonder about him. He was growing marawana and it was the heat lamps that was upping his bill. He had 3 million dollars worth of drugs and guns in his factory. No joke! We are all very pleased about this. They brought a helicopter and everything in to take him down.

Keep Your Head Dry

Yesterday Spencer had a soccer game, in the rain. It poured mostly the entire time, I never got out of the car. But some people did...

...and despite all their efforts, they all got wet!

This year has been named the "Year of the Workmen". Since they where here for months, and are coming back. Not the same workmen that built part of the house, but the painters start tomorrow. They are going to paint the house green, yeah! But yet another month of getting up early to beat the Workmen.

Happy 4th

Happy 4th everyone! We went to fireworks last night at Quaker Lake, and we are planing to go to a friends tonight for more fireworks. Money shot!
Firework over the Lake.

Bees

There was a bees nest under our tree house steps that needed to be removed. Dad went out, put a container over it and popped it off. Then he brought it inside!

Mom eating breakfast with her new friends.

They didn't like to have their container rattled, ( I know, we are mean) they would come pouring out of the nest. Sadly they are all dead now, they OD'd on bug spray.

Good bye

The last two kittens have been gone for some time now, it kinda sad that we don't really miss them.

Our Yearbook

I am the editor for our home-school groups yearbook, not an easy job. You think it would be easy, just have the family's put together a page or two, grab a couple shots from field trips and your good to go. Oh no no no!! It is now several week past the dead line and i still don't have everybody pages. You to beg these people to get it done. Last year we sat down and call everybody, to see if they were going to do a page, and have them come to the meetings. We even wrote a song that we threatened to sing to the people on the phone..." this is the yearbook comity calling you...calling you, we hear your not doing you page is this true...is this true, we like you to join us so don't raise a big fuss, just come to a meeting or you'll get a beating...just come to a yearbook meeting!" Only one person ever heard it and that was a accident, a rather embarrassing one. But nobody came to the meetings so we're no doing that this year. I only have about half the pages done and half the family pages in right now. Oh and another thing, I am the only person that takes picture anymore. So if i don't go everywhere on field trips and such, there will be no pictures, it so sad!
